Instead of using government and local council data, British citizens abroad will still have to make manual applications, even when they are already registered to vote.
Denied dedicated representation through overseas constituencies Like in France, Italy and many other countries,British electors should have MPs who know and understand the countries where they live .

Half a million retirees eligible for a UK state pension and who now live abroad have their payments frozen at the level due when they first claimed it after leaving the UK. They've paid enough National Insurance contributions to qualify but their pension is never uprated if they choose to retire to certain countries.

No UK electronic travel permit for British dual nationals
A quietly introduced passport rule change has left British dual nationals locked out of the new UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) system.
Foreign nationals can pay £20 for an ETA to enter the UK, but dual citizens must either have a UK passport (which not all do) or pay nearly £600 for a certificate to allow them to travel.
And to add insult to injury - at the last election, only half of overseas voter postal ballots made it back in time to be counted. So they can’t even vote for a government that might fix it either.
Please write to your MP to ask them to allow travel with an ETA and to support our changes to the broken voting system from abroad.
